A new beginning...
I had a blast writing these blogs for the kids, but unfortunately, the time has come to 'retire' the Mischievous Megan and Exploring Evan diaries. ;) Don't be sad though! I'll be starting a brand new family blog, where both Megan and Royce will be contributing too - I'd let Evan but he bangs so incredibly hard on the keyboard I'm scared he'd break it! Separate blogs just don't work for us anymore and we'd like to have one together anyway. These blogs will remain here for you to look back and enjoy. Also, don't forget you can still check out their babies online journals (links on the right of the page). So when will the new blog be rolled out? Hmmm, I'd say next month but I'll be honest and say by 2009. LOL We are busier than ever. My new resolution for the year is to get Megan more involved with blogging (she takes TONS of pictures) and to post everyday, even if it is just a few words without any pictures. See you all soon - watch your inbox and this blog for the new link in the near future!

Happy 1st Birthday Baby Boy!
Oh Baby Boy - where did the time go? It feels like yesterday I held you for the first time and cried tears of happiness as I snuggled your warm body close to me. You've grow so much and we love you so much! The way you share everything..."HEE"...the way you sign duck and "QUACK"...the way to crawl to me when you want nothing but a little mama's attention..."MA MA MA" ...I hope these small words echo in my head forever. Thanks for making our lives more exciting, non-stop action filled, and maybe a tad tiresome...but it is all worth it - ever bit of energy. I can't imagine spending all day, every day with any other man.
AND on with the fun - Let's smash the cake!!!
Happy Birthday to my ball lovin', duck imitatin', food sharin' mama's boy! I love you!

My 1st Birthday Party!
Oh boy, oh boy, it was GOOD! My first birthday party was at a pony farm! My sister and I got to celebrate our birthday's together. After a morning of running around and me wonderful what all the excitment was about, we arrived at the farm. First we rode the horses. I was eeking and screeching at the horses! I even got to sit on a horse and ride it around and around. I kicked my legs in excitment and held on tight. Riding this big creature was so much fun and I felt like such a big boy way up high on the saddle! I liked to play in the dirt as the older kids rode the horses many times. The dirt was my favorite part and I found my favorite toy there - a piece of bark. Really, that piece of bark stayed in my hands for a long time. It is the small things that amuse me! Forget presents, just give me dirt and wood! After playing in the dirt and riding horses, I went on a hayride. I liked the way it felt bumpy and there was so much to look at. It was fun when we went up and hill and I'd make an excited face. We also got to see many farm animals and feed goats. I loved looking at the goats and would had jumped in their cage if Mommy or Daddy would had let me! Those silly looking creatures - they make me giggle. Soon enough, the best part came. I had my first taste of PIZZA! and it was GOOD! That was nothing compared to what happened next. All the sudden everyone was signing to me, then mommy walked up to me with this big plate with a candle, she blew it out for me after everyone sang, and then they clapped...that was interesting enough but she set that plate on my highchair and I got to EAT that CAKE! Not only did I eat it, I devoured it! Almost every last crumb!! I did my Mommy proud and loved the horse cake that she made especially for me. I was such a mess afterwards Mommy had to take me and wash me in the sink in the bathrooms - I even tried licking myself clean after I was undressed - I wanted every last taste I could get!!! I guess it is official, I definitely have a sweet tooth. After all that fun, I got to open presents. By then I was getting tired, so I didn't really rip into my wrapping paper - Mommy did most of the work for me. I got so many fun things - especially 'boy toys' - trucks, tools, and a new fire engine to ride on! Thank you everyone for coming and celebrating my first year with me. I had the best time and can't wait to see what my 2nd birthday will bring...but for Mommy's sake. Let this next year go by a tad bit slower... ;) Psst...and NOPE! I'm still not walking in case you were wondering...
